California Coast: Tales and Trails

This is an invitation to walk one of the great meetings of land and sea. Along the California coast, the landscape is never still—waves reshape the shore, fog drifts and lifts, and light shifts by the hour.

Trails trace this ever-changing edge: across sandy strands and cobble shores, along windswept bluffs, around quiet bays and tidal wetlands, out to lighthouses, and into redwood forests where the ocean’s breath lingers in the trees. These are not one coast, but many—each with its own character, its own rhythm, its own story.
